About me

Claudia Moreno is a professional harpist with more than sixteen years of eclectic musical experience, primarily focused on classical, modern, and contemporary genres. Skilled in musical transcription, improvisation and quickly mastering diverse repertoires, her commitment to music goes beyond performance. Claudia is driven by the need to share her sensitivity with society and to connect audiences through art, its reflective capacity, and its profound beauty.

Described by music experts as an exceptional and brilliant young performer, her musicianship is characterized by profound expressiveness. Her emotional intelligence, together with her talent and tenacity, have guided her through the paths of arts. With a broad interest in culture, Claudia is an amateur in acting, singing, writing, painting, and photography. Thanks to her experience, she is the author of several texts for choral pieces and the designer of cover art for some contemporary composers. This emerging artist has also self-recorded an original EP, Palimpsesto, in which she sings and plays featuring her harp and voice compositions and poems.

Moreno’s experience spans chamber groups, ballets, operas, and youth orchestras such as the JONC (National Youth Orchestra of Cataluña) or the JOL (Youth Orchestra of León), choirs like the Cor de Noies and the Cor Jove de l’Orfeó Català, and solo performances in prestigious concert halls such as the Riojaforum (Logroño), Teatro Soho (Málaga), and Teatre Liceu (Barcelona).

Claudia recently gave a harp masterclass for students at the Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga Conservatory in Bilbao. She won the second prize in the Euskadi Young Performers Contest (2018) and was awarded an Excellence Grant from the Fundació de música Ferrer-Salat during her studies at the Liceu Conservatory. She also earned scholarships from the Society of Performing Artists of Spain (AIE), the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Fundació Pedro I Pons, and the Berklee College of Music.

Born in Bilbao in 2002, Claudia began her musical studies at the Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga Conservatory with Cristina Sánchez Cuétara, and later on with Ane Arteche. At the age of 17, she was admitted to Fundació Conservatori Liceu in Barcelona, where she studied with Abigail Prat, earning her Bachelor’s degree with a cum laude. In 2024, she moved to the United States to pursue her Master’s degree in harp performance with Charles Overton at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Alongside her artistic career, she also combines her professional work with teaching, sharing her knowledge and passion for music with the next generation.
